PSE Market Data

We show 5 different time periods of performance for the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).

  • Daily: The headline tells us what happened for the PSE in the previous trading day. "PSE 6,865" means that the PSE closed at 6,865. "100 ▲1.00%" means that the PSE went up 100 points that day, and that was a 1.00% gain.
  • 5 day: This is the percentage change between the PSE's most recent close, and the PSE's close 5 trading days earlier.
  • 1 mo: This is the percentage change between the PSE's most recent close, and the PSE's close 1 month ago.
  • TTM: This is the percentage change between the PSE's most recent close, and the PSE's close 1 year ago from that day.
  • YTD: This is the percentage change between the PSE's most recent close, and the PSE's opening value on the first trading day in January of the current year.

Top/Bottom MB Indices

We track several groups of companies within the PSE (individually called an "index", or "indices" plural). These are not official indices that are tracked by the PSE, just ones that we track because we think they're interesting (and fun). You can click here to check out the companies that compose each of our MB Market Sector indices and MB Family Showdown indices.

The percentage for each index represents each index's change in marketcap from the previous day's close. A company's marketcap is just the number of oustanding shares multiplied by the stock price, and each index's marketcap is just the aggregate marketcap of all the component companies in that index.
